My Iphone OS 4.0 review, from a blindness perspective

Dear readers,

Apple announced iPhone OS 4.0 Thursday. For those of you with an iPod touch or iPhone, it will include many features, such as running multiple applications, Skype in the background and other background services, support for a new game center, and a new form of advertising through a platform called iAdd.

As someone who beta tests, I suppose I took a legal factor risk with this one. iPhone OS 4.0 is available for developers only, but I obtained a copy of the firmware through Apple's website and the help of a developer. So, in technical terms, my iPod is registered with a developer.
I won't go into the full process as to how any of you can run this new beta OS release on your device. Research it online; That's what I did. It isn't difficult.

Anyway. My goal here was to simply shed light on new accessibility features in OS4, as well as test some of the new features. In order to do this, I have created a podcast where I demonstrate and talk more about the new release. I simply couldn't write a review, as many of the functions require demonstration.

Hope you enjoy! I know that the audio quality isn't the best-the iPod does sound a bit distorted... My appologies for that. I hope it's still enjoyable!

All the best,
Tomi

Awesome job! Now I really can't wait until it gets released.

I'm looking forward to the new method of typing, bluetooth keyboard support and the folders thingy.
Personally I thought multitasking was a bit of a copout.

I think Apple should've had that in a while ago, but at least they are getting to it.

As far as I'm concerned they're making great headway. So far from my use of os 4.0 there are bugs in itunes, and I've also had a battery issue which I've resolved as well as the multitasking UI not being accessible, perhaps I'll post a howto at some point.
